The colors are inspired by the auction site of the same name, where the original model was sold in a charity auction that supported skateparks in the Portland, Oregon area. In total, three pieces of the original eBay dunks were created - one auctioned off, the second donated to a man named Sandy Bodecker, who worked hard to connect Nike with skateboarding, and the third, which was cut into four pieces. This element, as well as the name Sandy Bodecker, is adopted for this sneaker.
