Timberland sneakers
In 1965, shoemaker and entrepreneur Nathan Swartz decided to create waterproof boots for rainy weather. And so an iconic silhouette was created, which gained popularity among an unexpected target group - among drug dealers and then rappers. At first, the brand's management was afraid that the connection with this group of people would be harmful and tried to distance themselves from them. However, after the legendary rapper Notorious BIG mentioned the brand directly in one of his tracks, Timberland completely turned around. In the 90s, their sales skyrocketed and at that time even surpassed Air Jordan itself in the American market.
